Arthur is probably one of the most upbeat grooms, if not people, I’ve ever met. You can’t help but want to be in on the joke with him and Anna-Marie is so easy going, i’s not wonder they’re so great together. I remember having some good laughs at this wedding and when you’re having that much fun, it’s not work. I’m always grateful for days like these and so far I’ve been extremely lucky to have had so many of them. Thank you Anna-Marie and Arthur for the laughs, tasty cake and letting me be a part of your wedding day!  :) Congrats!

P.S. Our photobooth photo is pretty awesome :)

A beautiful garden ceremony followed by a warm and intimate reception made for a perfect summer wedding.  I think Maria and Travis’ wedding would best be described as classic comfortable elegance.  Just look at Maria in that dress with those eyes and facial features, such a classic beauty. I love it. From her handmade gown to her red kicks, the girl knows what she’s doing. It’s bad enough you’re in a tight dress all day, why put your feet through it too?   This was a nice relaxed wedding and Maria and Travis were so great, it was a real pleasure photographing their wedding. I’d also like to mention how awesome it was that Travis’ parents were totally down for a ‘Vanity Fair’ family photo (see below). Who says family photos can’t be totally badass?  The cars were pretty cool too but I’d say they were just a bonus. Maria and Travis fill the frame quite nicely on their own :)

Congratulations Maria & Travis, I wish you both all the best!

A fun filled engagement session in Hamilton started at the Westdale Theatre and then Albion Falls, one of Hamilton’s many waterfalls. I’m pretty sure I squealed a little when Jihad and Jesleen told me they wanted to do their engagement shoot at a movie theatre. I loved the idea! Although it may not be your ultra modern, high tech, imax theatre, it was a quaint little place that holds special meaning to them. The two had spent many evenings at the old school theatre and it’s also where Jihad proposed to Jesleen! Considering this day was one of those super hot and humid days, we were all pretty relieved to hit up the waterfall afterwards! It was a great way to end the day!

It’s going to be a pretty big wedding this weekend and I’m looking forward to the crazy party that lies ahead! Congrats to them both!

Congrats to Travis and Maria! The two will officially tie the know tomorrow! These two are pretty cute so I’m quite excited for tomorrow. Forecast is calling for another hot one at 30°C so I’m thinking some popsicles might be necessary…just not the tri-coloured rocket ones, you can never avoid the red and blue lips afterwards! :)

All shot on Fuji 400h film with my Contax 645. Check out the film goodness below!

What can I say, this is definitely one of my favourite weddings and couples that I’ve photographed so far. This wedding at the beautiful Oak Alley Plantation in New Orleans was nothing short of breathtaking. This destination wedding was like no other. It’s always a welcomed change to be at a wedding like this where the bride and groom actually know everyone in attendance and the experience is much more intimate. I had so much fun hanging out with these two, meeting their family and friends and I’m so happy they chose ME to capture their big day.

New Orleans is such a vibrant and interesting place, I found it impossible to leave the hotel without bringing my camera with me. My Contax645 and Nikon D700 aren’t the most compact cameras to carry around but I couldn’t bare the thought of seeing something awesome and then relying on my iPhone. Having the opportunity to shoot in a location like New Orleans was amazing in itself but there’s nothing like running around the French Quarter, Jackson Square and Oak Alley Plantation photographing a wedding.  I seriously love my job! I literally was running, or at least fast walking a lot (it was ridiculously hot). It didn’t hurt to get a little bit of work out in there so I could indulge in all that delicious southern food. Shout outs to Arnaud’s and The Famous Gumbo Pot restaurant for serving up some awesome New Orleans cookin’! Man I love pasta jambalaya!

Congratulations guys! I wish you all the best!
