A few shots from my trip to New Orleans last May. I was there to photograph a wedding and was lucky enough to have some down time to check out the city. A really interesting place that I hope to visit again sometime soon. Lots of history, great food and hot sauces! Hopefully next time I’ll make it out to Avery Island (home of Tabasco sauce) and the swamps!

Sorry for the delay!  Not only have I been trying to play catchup with work and photos but my body has also been trying to make up for lost sleep and the 3 straight days of power walking through one of the busiest cities in the world. I spent the first two days in bed sick and pretty much slept through the weekend. I have A LOT of catching up to do. I can’t wait to share my New York City photos with you! It’s still one of my favourite places to visit.  NYC was amazing and I’m pretty excited about those photos so those will probably go up first and then at some point I’ll get through all my other shoots and post those too :) Until then, check out my of my favourite shots from the trip.

I meant to do a quick post on my way out last week so you all didn’t think I was just being lazy and not updating but I couldn’t connect to the wifi at the airport for some reason. Anyhoo, as noted in the title, I went to the Dominican!  Now two shades darker, 6lbs heavier and a little reluctant to accept my return to reality, I’m back and have lots of eye candy to share! Gonna head to bed now but here’s one taken with my iPhone 4. Again, I I tried posting this after I took it but phone wouldn’t connect. Two amazing things about this photo, the beach and the fact that I can solve the Rubik’s Cube again. Best vacay ever :)

Update: My record time is 1:32, fastest time I got last week was 2:19 while panicking on the plane (I always fly with my Rubiks cube).

I’m back! This would have been much cooler if I was writing this from a hotel in Stockholm, but alas, all good things must come to an end.

Got back from my Euro trip Thursday night and all I managed to do was upload my photos to my computer before I passed out. I had Friday to do laundry and now I’m back on the go! First I have a wedding to shoot today and then off to Muskoka for a family shoot Sunday and somewhere in between I will edit photos from the trip and two shoots from before I left. I can’t wait to share all the stories and photos from the trip but those will have to wait…possibly until after my nap  :) Until then, here are a few snapshots to hold you down!

To stand next to my friend Krista on her big day was the real reason why I went to Sweden. Such a beautiful wedding!

In a few hours I’ll be heading off on my first trip to Europe!  It’s also a big trip because this is the first time I’ll be traveling with some of my good friends and old roomates from Western. More importantly, we will be watching one of our close friends walk down the isle in Sweden! We’re first headed to London, England to meet up with a friend and hopefully check out some cool places including that big place that important older lady lives in, some old haunted tower and some giant wheel.

I’m a bride’s maid at the wedding so I obviously won’t be shooting it ’cause I don’t think I can fit my camera in my clutch. I got my bride’s maid dress awhile ago but just finally got shoes this afternoon. I have to say though, I’m a pretty good power packer, just as long as I don’t get distracted by too many other things along the way. Like when I packed to go camping and didn’t bring a sleeping bag or pillow because I was too concerned about what camera gear to bring. This time around I also had a long debate about which camera bag to bring and so on but finally decided on the Think Tank Shape Shifter. It’s a pretty sweet bag and I’m sure non-camera people don’t care and have stopped reading by now but it’s a badass bag haha! Maybe I’ll do a review on it when I get back or maybe I won’t remember because I’ll have 800000000000000000 photos to go through. Either way expect some awesome photos and hopefully some interesting stories! And thank god for the rubiks cube, the only thing that keeps me sane during turbulence :/

I’m out! Weeeeeeeee!
