It was a perfect day for an engagement session down by waterfront. Joseph plays hockey, Tessa plays baseball and they both love football – a perfect match :)

I don’t think these two are cool because he pretty much has the same name as me or that his mom’s birthday is the same as my mom’s or that even though we were teaching in Korea at different times, any one of us can bring up a random memory about Korea and we’ll know exactly what the person is talking about. No, these two are cool just because they were so much fun. Even though we only met last year to start planning their wedding, I feel like my conversations with Nav and Amarta resemble how I would converse with friends I’ve known for years. These guys are hilarious! I had such a fun time that afternoon. Something about chasing birds and ducks always makes me laugh. I know, I’m 5 years old. Whatever, it’s fun to run around with your arms flailing in the air and watch people do the same.
I cannot wait to see these two this weekend and celebrate their wedding! Happy wedding week Amarta & Nav!
This was one of those weddings where you wanted to take in every sight and sound, colour and texture, feeling and moment. You couldn’t help but smile when you see all the family and friends and cultures coming together for the special occasion and just having a great time. Jesleen and Jihad’s traditional Sikh wedding ceremony at Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto was nothing short of beautiful. I love photographing occasions like this, the colours, clothing and traditions are always so beautiful to see.
Jihad and I actually go back a few years, we both used to dance in the CAISA Fashion Show at the University of Western Ontario. Actually, I was his choreographer and I couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner! If any of you want to see how badass his skills are, ask him to show you some moves from our New Kids on the Block/Janet Jackson number haha. He’s such a great guy and I really couldn’t be happier for him and Jesleen! Congratulations!

Just hanging out with Gill and Eric and their son Will on their rooftop patio! The looks I got from little Will were priceless. He was all business until we got to the swings haha. Such a cute little family!

Being the fun creative couple they are, they decided that since they couldn’t go to the drive-in, they would bring the drive-in to them. When they told me their idea I was pretty excited but the cool factor went up about 10 notches when I got there to see the classic cars, bottled root beer (I’ve never seen this stuff before so I got excited), the old school projector and wait for it….an original Indiana Jones behind the scenes film! Amazing right?! I love how fun and creative they were with everything and I CANNOT WAIT to photograph their wedding!
These two crazy kids are getting married tomorrow! I can only image the detail they put into that. It’s going to be a good day tomorrow! Congrats guys!
